Basic & Detailed Engineering

Chemtex’s engineering expertise includes traditional disciplines: electrical, mechanical, process, civil and piping engineering; as well as advanced specialties, including simulation, integrated automation processes, and interactive 3D modeling. Whether green-field, revamp, or upgrade project, Chemtex delivers cost-effective solutions to Clients to maximize their assets, improve competitive positioning, and increase long-term business success.

Our in-house engineering department is staffed with experienced experts whose primary focus is to ensure the business goals of our Clients, and to meet our Client’s strategic objectives in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. We ensure the engineering deliverables meet local codes and standards as well as established international standards such as ASME, IEC, NEC, etc..

Chemtex offers a comprehensive range of engineering and design services, including conceptual, process design, basic, and detailed design packages. Our design practice engages all of a project’s multidisciplinary team members in project development.

Our Strengths

Our engineering capacity is global, with office locations in USA, India, and China. In the past 10 years, we have delivered more than 60 engineering packages to our clients in the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical fibers, and renewable energy industries.

The project design process incorporates early involvement of our procurement, construction and commissioning expertise, to ensure projects are designed to be constructed and operated in the most efficient manner.

In addition to our in-house design and calculation, our engineers are also skillfully capable of on-site commissioning and construction management. Chemtex executes all projects with paramount consideration for health, safety, and environmental well-being of all current and future project participants and stakeholders.

Key Aspects of Project Design

Based on the nature, location, scope and the complexity of the project, Chemtex assigns a team of experts to form an integrated task force to deliver the contractual scope. Each project is evaluated for certain unique aspects that need to be considered in setting up the ‘early work’ strategy.

Project Management:

As the Client’s single point of contact, Chemtex integrates the activities of all contractors and subcontractors, often from diverse backgrounds and cultures, to ensure the success of the overall program.

Chemtex’s project execution systems and tools are used at all global offices to maintain consistency in the delivery of each project. We use the latest on-line project management system that allows employees to access information and technical experts to solve problems from any location around the world.

The staff of Chemtex project teams has an average professional experience of over ten years covering various fields, such as gas treatment, refining, petrochemicals, polymers, chemical fiber, energy and environmental industries. Their experience in project management covers all type of services and contracts, ranging from project consultancy to lump-sum turnkey contracts.

Engineering Strategy:

  • Start the design with demonstrated technology and incorporate the latest lessons learned
  • Assure that the design is safe, suited for local needs, and meets the applicable environmental codes
  • Design the plant to the agreed project standards and constructability strategy

Chemtex's Training Package

Training of our clients' operations personnel is an important aspect of a successful start-up. Chemtex's hands-on training package is often provided at an existing, operating plant. Chemtex has implemented several projects which were ‘first of a kind’ in nature with inexperienced clients in the chemicals industry. Chemtex offers a complete training package to these clients' employees to assure that they can effectively participate in commissioning and startup of the plant, and onto eventually operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the asset.

A Chemtex training program typically includes:

On-Site Training:

This part of the training program will be conducted at the client's plant site during the erection and commissioning period. Chemtex personnel deputed to the plant site will work along with designated client supervisors and provide "hands-on" training.

This on-site part of the training package will adequately prepare client personnel to manage the plant.
